Dr Karen Konarski-Hart is certified to perform Federal DOT driver examinations under the business heading of ARdrivecert. 

 

Medical certification of drivers under this law is required when the driver is operating commercial vehicle in INTERSTATE commerce that:

1) Has a combined gross vehicle weight or weight rating of 10,001 lbs or more

2) Is designed or used to transport 9-15 passengers (including the driver) for compensation

3) Is designed or used to transport 16 or more passengers (including the driver) whether for compensation or not

4) Transports hazardous materials in quantities that require placarding under the hazardous materials regulations

A Thorough Checkup

A DOT exam involves a thorough history of past and present medical conditions including heart, lungs, diabetes and seizures, as well as medication review.  It includes vision, hearing, blood pressure and muscle function testing.

Your Safety Comes First

It is important to remember your examination is performed for your utmost safety and the safety of those on the road. If your job requires you learn CPR training, I can help you with those courses as well.

Examinations are done by appointment either as an on-site group at work or individually in our office conveniently located off I-630.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) law requires ALL US Department of Transportation (DOT) commercial driver examinations to be performed by a NATIONAL REGISTRY OF CERTIFIED MEDICAL EXAMINERS (NRCME) PROVIDER.
